“I was just 29 years old and my personal income in the previous 12 months was a little over 48 million dollars.”
I suddenly found myself paying attention…
I was in an excessively air conditioned conference room in central LA listening to a seminar delivered by a very charismatic man who goes by the name of Jordan Belfort. Jordan was the founder of Stratton Oakmont and, to many people now, was the main character from the film “Wolf of Wall Street”, played by Leonardo Dicaprio.
Putting whatever you might think of Jordan’s ethics or morals aside, there was one thing that was undeniable – he knew how to make money.
Interestingly, Jordan believes that whilst most people will tell you that there is no such thing as ‘get rich quick’, the reality is that the ONLY way to get rich is to do it quickly… it’s just that it often takes a long time to get all your ducks lined up first.
Think about it.
When you hear about “overnight” success stories isn’t it normally that the business owner has often toiled for years before finally a series of things happen simultaneously or a big break occurs that allows the results to go geometric?
That’s certainly my experience.
In The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell (great book, well worth a read), the author talks about how you can put a lot of effort into something that feels like it’s going nowhere and then all of a sudden… BAM! Suddenly everything changes.
It’s like a catalyst. Yes you needed the core ingredients (the business, the product, the marketing funnel, etc) to begin with, but it’s actually that one missing piece that makes ALL the difference.
Think back to your biggest successes in business so far. Undoubtedly a lot of hard effort went in, but wasn’t there a moment, an idea, a decision that suddenly and significantly boosted the result?
That is what this website is all about. Helping you identify and implement the seemingly small changes to your copy, your website or your marketing that have a geometric impact on your sales and your bottom line.
Let me give you an example;
About 8 years ago, one of my early businesses was struggling to get traction. It was generating about 15-20 new clients per month, which translated to approximately £400,000 in sales.
But rather than just chipping away at it, one client at a time, I asked myself a better quality question…
“Who is my ideal client? The person who if I could just get them onboard it would automatically and effortlessly bring my a steady stream of new customers for years to come?”
By asking that one question repeatedly within 60 days I got my first choice, ideal client. Not only was that immensely profitable, but within 72 hours of the ideal client promoting my business to his database I was flooded with over 800 new customer orders!
From 15-20 clients per month to over 800 in less than a week.
That’s the difference that finding just ONE of these leverage points can make.
The question is, how do you find these “Tipping Points” in your business? The little tweaks that will radically transform your profits and cashflow?
You’ll find several on this website…
