Do you suffer from “shiny object syndrome”?
I know I do.
Most entrepreneurs love the excitement of doing something new, that’s one of the reasons why we started our companies in the first place.
The challenge is that as our businesses scale and start to get traction, we fail to grow along with them.
We end up constantly distracted looking for the shiny, new, exciting option for us to pour our energy into instead of just doing what needs to be done.
And that’s the difference between successful business owners and wannabes.
To use another metaphor: a lot of people get excited by the idea of losing weight and getting in great shape. They look at photos in fitness magazines, they speak to a new trainer or buy the latest bulking or cutting supplements.
Far fewer people are prepared to hit the gym and watch their diets consistently enough to earn the body they deserve.
My experience says business is exactly the same.
It’s not exciting, it’s not sexy but nothing will beat well planned consistent action.
In fact, a member of my mastermind group, a man with a net worth upwards of 8 figures says “It’s boring… but I’m rich”
I couldn’t agree more.
Add value and make money via consistency in your business. Then get your excitement out of it.
